This song is old,

and yet it's still so amazing.
I've had this song for about 1/2 year now. and it's still awsome!!

the reason

The reason that this sounds so good is because it is a 7.8 MB file for a 3:25 song. most uploads on newgrounds is 3.6 MB for a 3:25 song. not saying that's bad to do that but I just wanted to point that out.
Trance on.

TranceCrafter responds:

You are half correct. Having a bigger sized mp3 means that the quality of the ENCODING is much better (meaning that the song can be played back without lossy compression).

However, PRODUCTION quality has almost nothing to do with the mp3's bitrate. I mean, let's say (theoretically) that one day I just went into FL and threw in some random 3xosc preset that came with the program, then didn't take any time on the song at all, called it "finished," and rendered it to an uncompressed wav?

;)

Does that suddenly make it sound "better" than a 192 kb/s mp3 that was produced with great care?

why

why are there so many sour notes? I don't see/hear the point of them.

thatdenosguy responds:

why not?

it needs

needs a little more chorus in the background. well, ingeneral, needs more full sound.

yea

change that beginning sound so that it's not so . . . umm, yea. (random?)

umm

you used basic FL preloaded sounds and put them together. not much there to be proud of. I don'jt even know were to start to help you. I say just watch some videos on youtube and learn something new.

xenisc responds:

well its not like i used melodies from the program. and whats wrong with recycling sounds from the program. all this is my idea not FL Studio's. i dont have a lot of time to go online and learn this stuff because i have limited amounts of time on the computer. and when i do get on im making music like this. i will learn someday but probably not soon. thanx for the review.

Nothing seemed to flow

it sounded like you just put together some random sounds in hopes that it would do something cool. Change some frequencies and smoothness in some of the sounds and it will flow better.
Liked 2:20. but that was about it.

DarkMcShadowX responds:

lets see you try.

I like it.

One thing that I feel like pointing out. With the melody at the beginning with the piano, it is nice. Not ketchy but pressurable. I feel that if you didn't solo out the piano so much that it would make it less of a * I've already heard this.* A good example of this is *Chaoz Fantasy*. The melody is played over and over again but there is always something with it that makes it withstandable to the point that it never truly gets boring.
I also feel that the piano needs a bit more of an echo. seems to stuck at each note and I beleive that it can flow better with more of a ring to it.

Drawoh responds:

sorry bout that :P
my intention was to make the piano be the one that most stood out though,
but I think I could've done that too

holy crap

I desided to look up the 'Holy Moses Dancing' and it's voted at 0.64. So, I have nothing else to say there.

The song
I realy like what you did with the background riffs. they realy expand the piano and drums. what I also think is that I believe you could do alot more with this peice. I like it, but there wasn't anything that made me want to listen again, and again.

broove responds:

Well, I can't blame you for that, can I? :)
Thanks for a review, man! And yes, there are infinitive ways of improving or changing the song. What you hear now sounded good at the moment.

wow

205 tempo. that's a dangerous speed but you went though it like it was 2nd nature.
You definetly got what you where going after.
